Samantha Garro

Business Owner

(Samantha Garro, Right)

What motivates you?

Challenging and proving to myself I can break barriers and challenge norms in life and in the beauty industry. Also, making women feel beautiful and confident for the most important day of their lives/ events that they attend drives me to be the best I can be for them as well as myself!

What does success mean to you?

Success to me means reaching goals I have set for myself that may to some or even to myself to seem slightly out of reach, those types of goals challenge me to really push myself! Success also means that certain smile when I turn the mirror around for a client to see herself on her wedding day and she has tears in her eyes or even when her mom does! Success to me means realizing that to be the best, you have to learn from others!

What's your favorite interview outfit?

I would say my favorite interview outfit is a pair of black wide leg suit pants, a freshly pressed black blazer and a cream colored blouse with a tie neck and some over sized pearls...to me it looks and feels like power, sophistication and class!

Can you share a quote you often refer to?

"You have to believe you are the best or nobody else will, but never stop working on being the best version of yourself."

Name one thing you do constantly that has contributed to your success.

I have always stayed true to myself and remained the same person in every setting, honesty and my ability to be relatable to my clients has been paramount in my success. Skill in the beauty industry can be learned and is ever changing...but honesty and being true to myself, my brand and my commitment to being the best at what I do and providing the most comfortable experience for my clients is always at the forefront of my success.

What motivates you?

I’m motivated by my opportunity to empower women with the resources and inspiration they need to succeed in style. I wholeheartedly believe in the power of women and I wake up every morning excited to contribute to our collective success. Anything we can imagine is real!

What does success mean to you?

Success means empowering just one woman to make a statement by creating a remarkable personal brand - everything from their Linkedin profile to their outfit.

What's your favorite interview outfit?

A bright coloured blazer, a solid black or grey dress and pumps. I then add a finishing touch of a classy, eye-catching necklace.

Can you share a quote you often refer to?

"You can never be too overdressed or over educated" - Oscar Wilde

Name one thing you do constantly that has contributed to your success.

I consistently create free, quality content on my website, www.dowelldresswell.com. Through this, I have built a strong personal brand and have become an expert in personal branding, networking, career advice and personal style. As a result, I’ve gained speaking opportunities, freelance writing contracts, sponsored opportunities from brands and I’ve provided consulting services to some amazing women.

What's next? Where do you see yourself two or three years from now?

I’m committed to continuing to scale Do Well Dress Well into a strong multi-faceted platform offering content, small and large-scale events, consulting and products.
